Mobile application for beneficiaries has been started on February 14, 2019 by Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep S. Puri. The Minister says that through this mobile app, beneficiaries will be able to upload and upload photographs of fully constructed houses, including their families.

- Mr. Hardeep S. Puri, Minister of State for Urban Affairs (Independent Charge) for the purpose of issuing PMAY (U) mobile app, said that through this app, beneficiaries will also be able to upload selfies with their houses.
- Apart from this, the beneficiary can present the story of obtaining a house under the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme (Urban) through a video clip of 30-60 seconds.
- A minute-long film was also shown on this occasion in which it was explained that how the Prime Minister Housing Scheme (urban) has influenced the life of the beneficiaries.
- The facility for applying home for beneficiaries in the mobile application and obtaining information about the progress of the application will also be added soon.
- The beneficiary will be able to know through this app that how much house has been allocated under PMAY and how long it will take to complete it.
- The Prime Minister's Housing Scheme (Urban) campaign was launched on June 25, 2015, with the objective of providing accommodation to all eligible urban households by 2022.
- The plan has made unprecedented progress and has sanctioned more than 73 lakh houses in the urban areas according to the demand of about one crore houses.
- About 40 lakh houses are at different levels of construction and more than 15 lakh houses have been constructed.
- Apart from this, nearly 12 lakh houses are being constructed using new and emerging technologies.
